Why writers shouldn't work for free
Not safe for work! Writer Harlan Ellison rants about writers who work for cheap or free. We writers should not feel bad about asking for living wages when freelancing.
I would LOVE to get paid for what he talks about at 2:31.

What is the purpose of my doing my livlihood for free? Sure, I want to be noticed, but those who will not pay will not make a commitment. Stand up and be counted!
