Moving to California: Friendly Black Lab Mix Needs A New Home

I'm making a major move across the country from Broad Ripple Village in Indianapolis to Palm Springs, California. I won't be able to take my dog Bailey with me. While that saddens me, I am hoping to find her a great home in the next few weeks.

I'm looking for someone who is interested in adopting Bailey. She's a healthy 7 year old black lab mix who is fun, fit, smart, protective, gentle with children, and makes friends easily. While she doesn't speak English, she understands it. She's a regular at the Broad Ripple Animal clinic and is current on all her shots. She's never a problem, doesn't bark relentlessly and never has hurt anyone. She is loving (she even loves cats!) and everyone who meets her takes a liking to her immediately.

If you are a dog lover who can help me find Bailey a home, please contact me at scottabel@mac.com. Or, you can phone me at 317-466-1840.

Thanks for your consideration.

Thanks. Theresia! Fletcher sure is a beautiful dog. I'm sure I'll find a great home for Bailey. If you hear of anyone, let me know. Thanks again.

Bailey sure is adorable! I wish we could take her. I know Fletcher would love to have a playmate but Bo, the unfriendly cat (except to me), will have none of that! It was hard enough getting him used to having Fletcher around!

Best wishes on your move! We'll miss you on SI!
