Making people and ideas findable

Monty Python fans rejoice! The creators of the Dead Parrot sketch, the Lunberjack sketch, and the Cheese Shop Sketch now have their very own channel on YouTube.

No longer will you have to watch entire episodes on DVD just to get to the best bits. No more sitting through How to Defend Yourself From Fresh Fruit just to see Lemming of the BDA. No more "The Larch" just to find Wink Wink, Nudge Nudge. And definitely no more searching for Python sketches online, and then scrolling through countless sucky spoofs, parodies, and send-ups of your favorite sketches trying to find that one gem.

I'm a huge Pythoner. They were the ones who first got me interested in creating my own humor.

I love the Philosophers' Song. What was great as a Philosophy major was that I knew who every one of the names in the song.

Hmmm-- I never took you for a Monty Python fan, Erik, and was surprised about Pat, too. Not as surprised about Doug =)
I am a devoted fan, and blame this comedy troop for turning me into an Anglophile.

---I have the DVD set with the entire TV series-- I know you are all jealous.

---I saw Spamalot on Broadway-- my daughter and I sing with the CD on road trips.

---My two favorite quotes that I commonly use in conversation:
1- "You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart throws a sword at you." followed closely by,
2-- "Your father is a hamster and your mother smells of elderberries, no go away or I shall taunt you a second time."

I am already a member of the Monty Python You Tube channel, and was disappointed that a quarter of a million people joined before me. I hope the channel will feature wonderful mashups, too. This is my favorite one to date:

Monty Python's journey to YouTube should be an eye-opener to modern media outlets as well!
