Making people and ideas findable

Getting the "In" with a potential client????!

My interest in this blog is to draw from other professionals experience in "getting in" the front door and finding additional avenues where my company could assist you or your clients.

Anyone?

It is tough to get through to the correct person, but keep trying. Networking events are the easiest way to meet people that can help you. A person you meet may not be able to directly help you, but if try to help them then most will go out of their way to help you. Networking events are great. SI looks like a great place to throw your name out there to see what happens. Justin hit the nail on the head regarding referrals.

First you have to figure out out who that is. Not always the owner, though I suppose in that industry it most often would be. Remember people like to buy, not be sold.

You have establish relationships first with these people. Run in with a 'pitch' and you probably run back out.

Learn about their business, through people that know them : employees, partners and referrals. If they have a need, it's all about how much of a need they have. Is it immediate need or something they may be interested in down the road?

Sorry that this is vague...Selling is not always the easiest gig. Especially these days!

The only way that I get in front of decision makers: Networking and building referrals. That has been our number one Marketing tool. Rainmakers, Smaller Indiana, and Confluence.

Just looking for other sales professionals experiences getting to the decision makers. Other than endless phone calls or emails? Our company designs, manufactures and installs furniture and fixtures for the restaurant industry. If you are say an "owner" of a restaurant or a chain of them like the major fast food chains, and you want to remodel the interior, we are one company that profides the product and services to do so.

I am kind of confused by the question... what are you wanting and what do you do?
