Focus

I've been debating what the focus of this blog should be. I would like it to showcase me and my gifts and experience as a technical writer and validation support guy - after all, I'm looking for my next gig - but this is a real tough place to show you what I do and how I do it.

Besides, my writing has always had a huge range. In some ways I view my writing as docked in the technical writing slip. perhaps too exclusively, perhaps too long. My original idea was a diversity of streams of income from different ways I use words to inform or explain, or even as an artist in a totally different media.

(The one job, the one stream of income, the possessions and debt that can come it are part of the delusion of security. I always thought I was above the concept of security, but I've been seriously seduced by it.)

I'll confess - I'm blocked. It's tough to move forward in any direction, especially in the direction of employment, when there is this big fat block in my way. Writing through a block is painful. Writing publicly about what ails my writing and professional life - why am I doing this? maybe to say that this writer is in process.
