Squealing after I signed up for the Flying Pig Marathon just last week, what was I thinking?!? Only 2 1/4 months to go before race day.... The decision to do the Flying Pig marathon which is a day after the OneAmerica500 Festival Mini marathon was because the latter was sold out! Plus the flying pig reminisce the indyairhogs mascot that I carry! Haha! Anyway note to self - Need to sign up early next year for the Mini 500 marathon. Lalita Amos Another February...and I Still Hate Black History Month

It's still Black History Month. And, yes, I still hate Black History Month. Let me start by re-posting my first Black History Month homage from a couple of years ago:

Patric Welch CBS delivers a high demand show in a low definition format

I've seen dozens of reality shows over the past decade. Most of them never really stuck with me, but a few of them caught my fancy. One such reality show that I never miss is the Amazing Race. I was especially excited when this season's Amazing Race kicked off because I could finally watch it in high definition. Unfortunately, CBS, apparently didn't share my enthusiasm. When I started watching the first episode, I thought something was wrong with my television. "Why are there black bars on the… Continue

Rae Kridel Why are social networking sites so "pale?"

One of my degrees is from Florida A & M University, an HBCU, Historically Black College and University (Go Rattlers!) It's where I got my photography and graphic design degree, which considering what my business is, has been the training that pays my bills. A lot of people have asked, when finding out I went there, what was it like being in the minority? I reply that the experience was what I made of it. Sure, I got a lot of questions from guys like Tony, Jabari, Cousin Willie and Ralph abou… Continue
