Mike Magan Hoosier Burger Quest - longing for an awesome burger on a Lenten Friday

Back in January I joined up with the Hoosier Burger Quest group here on Smaller Indiana. The group's purpose is simple: to try the best burgers in Central Indiana. Many of the locations are off the beaten path, but well known to burger aficionados and longtime Indy residents. The group's unofficial official leader is intrepid burger lover Dick Davis. This is a clip from our meal at the Canary Cafe, the video is a little shaky because I was experimenting with a new mini-HD camcorder. I may not ha… Continue

John Robbins Back Home Again...

In the last few years I've resided in Illinois and Texas, but it is truly difficult to call any place but Indiana home. As the nights turn cooler and the leaves begin to fall, I thought I should take stock in why I'm proud to be a Hoosier. Chris Baggott Great Press For Hoosier Mt. Biking Association and Brown County SP Trails

I just wanted to call attention to a nice article about HMBA and the world class trails they have built in Brown County State Park. This is a group that absolutly deserves more support. They do incredible work all for free. http://www.corydondemocrat.com/Articles-i-2008-06-24-207066.114125_Ride_shou ld_encourage_trail_system.html The trails are world class if you have not tried them...please do. If you are not a member of HMBA, it's only something like $25 and your money all goes to trailbuild… Continue

Faith Wesstrom MOD Musing and Hoosier pride

I just came back from both my birthday and hobby trip. In that time, I’ve been on crash course learning about MOD and aiff extensions and converting them to MPEG-2 and then there is MPEG 4, freeware and shareware like Audacity and Square 5’s MPEG Streamclip etc etc. They were Greek to me! I was clueless to all this till I got into video and even then, I was just using the video mode on my camera which was super-easy. Then I got the Canon FS100 camcorder for my present. Happily I downloaded all t… Continue
