Laura Frank One Art Event a Week: Sculpture Walk

Week 27: Sculpture Walk at University of Indianapolis I love the summer. The fact that we are one full day into the fall makes me sad, only because I know what’s coming up; months of cabin fever and 10 layers of clothing. So, with only about a mo… Continue

Lorraine Ball Go Go Go to see "Gone, Gone, Gone"!

My first show of the 2009 IndyFringe Season. So many good choices. We opted for "Gone, Gone, Gone" at the Earth House. And before I talk about the program itself, let me give kudos to the venue. Located in an old church a few blocks off of Mass Avenue, it is worth the walk! The cafe on the first floor was a wonderful gathering place before the show, and if you get there in time, do sample the Blueberry or strawberry smoothies. The upstai… Continue

Faith Wesstrom Art at the Art Bank

I was downtown and decided to go pick up the IndyFringe Passes and backer buttons. Road construction made it a little hard to find parking but I managed to get a free spot with no parking meters – thinking I’d be in and out in a very short while. Instead I ended up seeing a little of a rehearsal movement, speaking with Pauline Moffat and getting the passes from her and meeting a young lady who’s helping out there and is interested to blog a few shows for Smaller Indiana. I have since wrote to Er… Continue

Week 18: Dance Kaleidoscope's "All That Jazz" at the IRT I have been attending art events; really, I have! Sara Croft Success!

Success came knocking at my door the other day. I applied for an internship at the Indianapolis Museum of Art and what do you know, they accepted me! I'll be working as a Registration intern, dealing with accessioning items, inventory, packaging and shipping of art as well as works on loan. I'm very excited, especially because I was notified today that they are awarding me a stipend. This will help greatly as I will be traveling from Terre Haute to Indy twice a week to complete this internship.… Continue
