What is your greatest strength?
I love to encourage the best in our youth...especially those trying to overcome challenging circumstances. I enjoy listening to their ideas and aspirations and then helping them to gain the confidence, knowledge, and resources necessary to achieve those ideas.
What are you working on?
Several years ago I began doing some different types of work with my local CPA (Child Protective Agency). This eventually lead to crafting "foster care bags" which includes age appropriate items such as toiletries, books, underclothing, baby items, writing and drawing tools, stuffed animals, toys, and handmade blankets. While this is an extremely rewarding project and the efforts are deeply appreciated; I need to reinvent my idea. So, I am currently a full time student and through my education and a variety of opportunities I am seeking to understand not-for-profit businessess and how to best implement social venture ideas. Hopefully, with these opportunities, I can create a more sustainable and effective approach to what I am most driven by...easing the transisitions of foster children.

Why join Smaller Indiana? What are you hoping to experience here ?
I am currently attending a social venture retreat and was encouraged and inspired by the organizers of this event to join Smaller Indiana as it can be a great tool for bringing together those who want to join forces and create life affirming opportunities for everyone...and I do!
