How did you hear about Smaller Indiana?
Friend
What is your greatest strength?
I believe my ability to listen, digest, and formulate a solution for a challenge before attempting a "shoot from the hip approach," which many do in order to generate approval for a quick response that typically ends in regret.
What are you working on?
I am now the State Building Commissioner (Building Law Compliance Officer) for the State of Indiana. I am in the process of reviewing past and current processes at that level and looking to improve our system. I have four divisions that report to me including Code & Fire Enforcement, Plan Review, Elevators & Amusement Rides and Boilers & Pressure Vessels. I have a great group of people that comprise these divisions and looking forward to a great career as a part of the State of Indiana.

I am NCARB Certified and licensed in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Missouri, Florida, Louisiana, Virginia, and North Carolina. I am also a LEED AP (Accredited Professional).
How big is your business?
large company
What is your Job Title
Executive
What is your Company Website?
http://www.in.gov/dhs/
What is your alma mater?
Butler University
Why join Smaller Indiana? What are you hoping to experience here ?
Increase my opportunities to find out who is here in the state involved with business and philanthropic projects. Ideally I might find potential clients, or leads associated with clients from others in the national arena.

Perhaps find those I went to high school (Pike High School), or at Butler in the MBA program.
