How did you hear about Smaller Indiana?

What is your greatest strength?
I'm just fun to work with! Ok seriously (do I have to talk about myself?)

I would say...relationship building and my non-threat approach...I just try to do business the way I would want business done if I'm the client and try to have fun with what I'm doing.

In business, I like to approach things with the idea that it's a 3-legged stool (Client-Company-Me) and if one of those legs is short, the stool won't stand right and we should level it out before moving forward. Taking advantage of clients or customers only comes back to bite you in the butt when problems occur.

Outside business...I like to have fun and try to make people feel comfortable and love to laugh at situations. If you can't laugh at yourself then who can you laugh at? I like live music, summer cookouts and rooting for the Colts!
What are you working on?
Professionally: Stanley Security Solutions Account Manager. I manage the hardware and service needs on our National Accounts Team and my primary respoinsibilites are Macy's/Bloomingdales and National Vision which owns America's Best Contacts and Eyglasses and just acquired Eyeglasses world. Macy's is about $1M dollars annually.

School: I did attend, but life happend for me early and I've have over 2 years of studies completed and my intention is to get back and finish when the employment thing settles.

At Home: I coach kids...that sums it up! HSE Girls Travel Basketball Teams as well as my 1st graders rec league team. Will be coaching 8U softball again and I'm a youth sports advocate and stay involved in my community with it.

Watching my kids grow up and trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up! :-) I also enjoy meeting new people on SI as well as out and about...so if you want to chat, hit me up...You never know when a connection will come in handy.

Personally: I'm trying to sort out some things in my life. I'll probably never really figure them all out or understand them all. I just hope I can learn from them.

A Walk Down Memory Lane & Lesson About Life

I spent yesterday helping my sister. She's one of my best friends and runs her own business doing residential cleaning. Her oldest (a Jr. at IU) hates this job of hers and doesn't think she should be "doing that kind of work". What he fails to realize is that along with her husband (who works FT for AT&T), this business my sister runs puts him and his younger brother through college and will probably help pay for their younger sister to go as well!

So, yesterday we spent a part of our day d… Continue

A Day In American History....The 2008 Election

2h 25m....That's how long it took me to walk into the church , cast my vote and exit today. You are damn right I took my sticker!

Saw a few familiar faces....a few people I recognized from my neighborhood...lot's of mom's toting youngsters...and a guy in scrubs who told me IU hospital gives them 3h to vote...he had taken a vacation day to honor his civic duty.

I didn't really complain about the time it took. I actually thought about how many times in my life I wasted at least 2h30m on somethin… Continue

OUTRAGE!!! You Might Be A Doctor...But It SURELY Does Not Make You Smart!

I don't know what the rules about posting AP stuff are on SI, but right now I don't really give a damn! After you read this, you too should be shocked, amazed, pissed off, sad and asking yourself a multitude of questions.

I support our 2nd Ammendment that allows us to bear arms...Personally, I don't own a gun and probably never will. I don't have any issue with those that do and 3 of my best friends all have permits and very nice looking handguns...no problems, no issues. I simply choose not to… Continue

It's Like A Car Wreck....You can't help but look!

My days the past month+ a few days have been filled with networking online, interviewing on the phone, meeting for face to face interviews, domestic chores, yardwork, conversations with my 4-year old Pomeranian "Sugar" that just get a "dog smile" and no response and some daytime and night time junk TV.

So let me get my daytime talk show story and reality TV show script together for you....Since 2000...I had a baby born at home that I had to deliver in our bathroom...my dad died 11 months after… Continue

US Govt.....No Experience, no problem!

I'll preface this blog by stating that I'm not heavily into politics at all....I pay attention more now that I'm a little older than I was 20 years ago and we have a major Presidential election coming up. I won't debate with you about why I'll vote one way or another. This talk of Palin and Obama not having any or enough experience got me thinking after some events this past week.

What I want to talk about is this recent "Bail Out" or "Remedy" or "Rescue" or whatever the hell they want to call… Continue
