Megan,
Thanks for the info/follow-up. I am eager to get something moving on this - I would like to see if we can get started this coming Sunday if that works for you. I will contact Brian then send out a note to all. Can you send me your home email address as well? For the first meeting I was thinking 2 hours with the intent being to make introductions and do a round table/open discussion on what we write, what we want to get out of the group and discuss logistics for future meetings...

My previous group met at a bookstore/cafe on the Northside. I know there is a Barnes and Noble at Greenwood but don't know if it has a coffee shop or not. I am sure we can find a place - library, B&N, Starbucks....it will be more difficult to find a day/time I think. I work in Columbus and have a son playing football (not sure what night yet) so weeknights can be a bit hairy for me, but could do if needed. Otherwise Sunday would likely be the best option for me. What frequency are you thinking?

I am hoping to send out a note by mid week to solicit acceptable days/times - is the other interested person a member of Smallerindiana? If so, I could use the event function to set up something once we agree on a day/time. Otherwise, I will need email addresses to set up.
Regards,
Matt

Hi, Megan. Great to hear from you and I am glad to hear you are still interested. I've heard back from one other person (Brian) who is still interested as well. I suggest we give it a couple more days and if we don't hear from anyone else we move forward. What type of writing do you do? I write speculative fiction, leaning mostly toward horror and sci fi.

Hi Megan. I see you had responded to the question about a Southside writers group. The string seems to be about 6 weeks old and it doesn't appear anything has come of it. Are you still interested? I am contacting the others that responded as I would like to get a group formed.

Best regards,
Matt
