I live in Richomond Indiana and has fought for 6 months now to get my son help ...he has ADD/Bi-polar ...emotional ...non -aggressive personality . So he has ''lived' with family members for going on 3 years now . BECAUSE ...I took him in my home ..I am punished ,he is pusished as they ...."the Agencies "...say he is fine there .. NO he isn't I would like my home back
I'd like to suggest you call one of our parent liaisons. I do marketing and outreach for About Special Kids (ASK). ASK helps families of children with special needs from birth through age 22 and serves children with needs ranging from learning and behavioral health issues to significant disabilities and life-threatening illnesses.
ASK puts families helps families navigate health insurance options, state and federal programs, school-based programs, and community-based services.… FREE of charge.
Our parent liaisons are all parents of children with special needs. They are well-versed in medicaid waivers and SSI. Give us a call at 317-257-8683. They will ask what county you live in and we have liaisons for each county.
We have lots of resources that may help you, Mark. We'd like to help you help your son.
