What is your greatest strength?
As an interior designer I enjoy the process of understanding a client's needs while steering them to a well designed space. I am also very thorough on researching products that best suit the purpose. Scale is so important to design.
What are you working on?
I am currently working on a bedroom addition with new furnishing and window treatments and a misc. project with many aspects to be considered for multiple rooms. A restaurant , Cafe Audrey at Fort Ben just opened and I helped keep it within budget through the furnishings chosen, space planning and color scheme.

Why join Smaller Indiana? What are you hoping to experience here ?
Since I am self-employed I enjoy reading the concerns of others in business, politics and how they are motivated in their marketing endeavors.

As an active volunteer member of Assistance League of Indianapolis I write a blog for them and try to market their name to more people in Central Indiana through Smaller Indiana.

After 10 weeks Operation School Bell® is humming along like a well oiled machine

So many organizations get so much press for their one day or one time giving event that it seems like Assistance League® of Indianapolis is almost forgotten.  As volunteer members we are so devoted to our mission of providing for local children and also our other programs, that we are often not  promoting the organization's name (Assistance League of Indianapolis) to the public at large.

Our volunteers are about 240 members and it takes 15 volunteers per day to…

Bruce is good. He retired from teaching and is now working at FedEx part-time at the airport to keep us in a healthcare plan. He loves the exercise. I enjoy working with my clients on their interior design projects to keep me busy and give me some income.

Candy & Rol live here in Indy also. We see them a lot. In fact Susie lives in the area also with her husband John. We all got married within months of each other and it is amazing in this day and age that we are still married to the same guys after all these years and get together often.

Loved the photo of Candy, Bev and I. The crossed armed one of you, Frank and I was good also. Thank you for sharing. Awe to be that young again. Are you married? Children? We have one son, Douglas who is married and lives in Saint Louis.

I am only new to the Indianapolis area. However, I have resided about 40 miles west prior to, but always in Indiana.

It sounds as if you have a great past in your field. Would you be considering mentoring a student, or possibly giving her an internship. I know she is fairly far along in her degree for interior design. If you would be, I can pass along your e-mail address to her, and you two can communicate thereafter.

I am just thinking of a friend here. Yes, graphic design is possibly my area of choice for a career. I should be finished with my BS in December. If you happen to need some visual marketing, I could be your guy.

Linda,

It sounds to me as if you are in the interior design field. How long have you been in this area?
