The types of process improvements we will be talking about are related to streamlining what we call the content management life cycle, looking for ways to automate currently manual tasks, leveraging the power of software to assist humans in getting their work done faster. As you may know, one day of delay in submitting a new drug application to FDA on a blockbuster drug can be equal to over $1million US in lost opportunity costs. So, shaving a few days of the entire cycle can reap tremendous rewards.
Most life sciences organizations have strated to realize that the writers, editors, illustrators, web developers, marketing pros and others they pay to create, manage, and deliver content to those who require it (regulators, employees, partners, affiliates, shareholders, media, customers, etc.) are not "artists". Sure, they are creative, but they need to be governed and controlled by a formal, repeatable process and software tools designed to increase productivity while simultaneously reducing unnecessary manual tasks, and eliminating problems in content that create unnecessary expense or risk.
These and many other content challenges will be discussed at the event. Pre- and post- conference workshops are offered on June 23 and 26 to teach folks about some of the more challenging topics ... ones in which a presentation of 60 minutes would not be sufficient.
Let me know if you (or anyone you know) is interested in attending. Smaller Indiana members will have a special discount offer made available through the website shortly.
Hope to see you at the event.

I see Dave K now and then and have connected him to a start up in Bloomington. If they get 21 fund or angel money, they might need your help. The company is Spherosense and I am on the board. Take care!
