Garth: In answer to your question (doesn'teveryone?), sadly, yes. On average there are about 80,000 scripts submitted (no telling how many more are written and not submitted), 600 are made into films of which 300 get through distribution. Unless you…

GS: You haven't given much of a hint as to what you ant to do or what your background is - but if the game is writing a screenplay for a movie, I would strongly recommend picking up a copy of "STORY" by Robert McKee. It'll set you back about 25 or 3…

What is your greatest strength?

What are you working on?
3 years ago I formed a not-for-profit that works with urban youth engaging them in the new video communication technolgies increasingly used for both personal and business communication. We work with IPS high schools, charter schools and civic centers to find the students who are interested in learning these skills.
We are also organizing an effort to involve former prisoners, many of whom have difficulty finding employment upon release and consequently fall back into crime, and prison.
Having a new skill that is in demand in the market that also allows them to be self-employed can get them out of that cycle.

I'm looking for individuals who would like to participate in my work with urban youth and former prisoners, either to aid in the instruction of video storytelling, or doing commercial video work to support our non-profit company, fund-raising or serving on our Board of Directors.

It starts with the observation that the past year has produced four billion screens (counting PC's, cell phones, TVs, PDAs, game consoles, etc. ) That's one screen for every living person on this earth ! And then, article by article, it explores the impact of thos… Continue
