Yea, we're using it but just not sure of it yet. Our very first collaboration was an actual online conversation and it felt more like an overzealous IM than anything. We've added in a "notify" module to help remind us when things have changed on...

So far I think it's "alright". My main developer is in Australia, so as you can imagine timing for the two of us can be an issue. Knowing this we've tried Google Doc's and a spreadsheet of to-do's but the problem there was actually checking into t...

130 Million Are Being Influenced Online. Are you There?

I was reading the new Razorfish FEED Digital Brand Experience Report for 2009. This report is unbelievable and has some amazing statistics to help further the goal of increased use of digital marketing. I am going to be devoting the rest of this week to breaking down the Razorfish report.

At the beginning of the report Razorfish states:
65% of consumers report having had a digital experience that either posit

An Honest Confession. The Problem with Fear

I was driving to work this morning listening to a great track by Sujan Stevens... reminiscing about my "musical" days in college. I played guitar for a long time and have just recently put it aside for other hobbies and activities. I want you to know that I have never... ever... ever talked about this with anyone. This is the "I'm Being Completely Open With My Blog Readers Morning with Kyle" show.

Get Ready.

During the years of guitar playing... I had alway… Continue

Defining Change As An Individual

I found this amazing example of kinetic typography last night and it created an idea that is not new... but needs to be rehearsed and rewritten hundreds if not thousands of times. Do we fully understand the power we have as an individual? Do we fully understand the power we have as a community of individuals?

I am not speaking of change in a political sense but change in a single... solitary way... a change in individuality that has the power to spread across the many platfor… Continue

My Top 10 Twitter Business Applications

1. TwitterHawk

TwitterHawk is a real time targeted marketing engine that allows you to search Twitter on a chosen topic (or keyword) and will either auto-reply to that person or generate a list of matches for you to respond or reject. The point of this application is to hit the conversation while it is happening and they follow up. Make sure you are being s… Continue

Kyle, thanks for the welcome note. What I love about Indiana is, quite simply, Indiana. I have lived in a number of different locales, most recently, Dallas. When we left Noblesville for Dallas, we thought we would end up moving somewhere else after my graduation. But, when it came right down to it (and after much investigation elsewhere) we decided that there really is not a much better place that we've been able to find to live and work than Central Indiana.

The weather gives a great variety throughout the year, the economic environment is relatively stable when compared with other states (especially evident in times like these), we have sports, parks, culture, education, shopping, and all sorts of other amenities that make this a great place to live!

Thank you for welcoming me and I look forward to contributing to the group.

I have lived in Indiana my entire life, both in central and the northwest part of the state. My parents were huge Indiana history buffs and the love of Indiana is ingrained in me. I work in the moving business and I was on sight the day the 9 trucks (green and yellow) delivered the Colts to Indianapolis.

Thank you for the welcome note.
What I love about Indiana is Indianapolis. It's easy going like a town, easy to get around, the traffic is manageable yet it is metropolitan and offers a lot of what a big city offers like events, live entertainment, shopping, dining choices.

What do you love about Indianapolis? Have any insider tips for people visiting here?

Good to make your acquaintance! Erin

You asked why I love Indiana. To me, Indiana is gentle. People here mostly mind the laws, rules of fair play, and when they don't we're all still shocked about it - not hardened. I warn newbies that, at least here in Muncie, we don't honk our horns. Isn't that funny? When you visit other places, especially big cities, there is so much loud noise. Indiana is quiet. It is also quite diverse, or maybe I should say, "quiet" diverse. A single, focused Hoosier can really make an impact. Grassroots projects take off like corn in all those fertilized acres. One. Can. Make. A. Difference...nice.

The people are the best part of Indiana. You can't get the friendliness and hospitality anywhere else.

I grew into Indiana once I decided I'd be here for long period of time. I'm a transplant from Ohio. The nonprofit community is what really made this home. I love that anyone can be involved regardless of last name, social standing, financial capacity. As long as you have something meaningful to contribute, you are welcomed. Taking ownership of our shared community is encouraged. Surprisingly, many Midwestern cities have nonprofit communities that are worried more about lineage than your good ideas and making a difference. Thank goodness that's not us. So, I guess the real difference is the people.
