Summer's here. It's Rathskeller time.

As I sit in my office on this fine Friday afternoon, I find it hard to focus on my work when I'm too busy fantasizing about the Flinstone whistle blow that ends my work week and begins my weekend of revelry. It's time for the Rathskeller.

It's as though the Athenaeum was built merely in celebration of summer and merriment. The location is historic, unique and in the heart of Mass Ave.

The library. Who knew?

OK, I'll admit — it's been a long time since I've been to the library. About 10 years to be exact. Since moving downtown, I've been able to see the excitement build as the St. Clair branch was so elegantly reconstructed. But, something has kept me from entering those doors. Maybe I still have this stigma that the library is for late night research projects that suck my brain of any will to live? Perhaps.

I would have to agree that Chatham Tap is one of our favorites, as we live downtown. I also love Bosphorus Cafe on East St., Yats and Hoaglin's, both on Mass Ave.

What is your greatest strength?
I'm detail oriented when it comes to my work. It took almost twenty years to realize it, but I work best when I have a schedule and a process for things.

I would like to think that I am a great listener. A good designer is willing to put aside their own agenda and listen to the client.

I am a follower of the Golden Rule. It's more than a philosophy ... it's a way of life.
What are you working on?
I have a fantastic job designing and promoting events at the Indiana Historical Society. Oh, did I mention I have a 30" flat panel cinema display? It kinda rules.

Aside from branding and print design, My photography business, Art*iculate LLC, is in full swing as I prepare for the Hoosier Artisan Holiday Boutique on October 17 at the Oak Hill Mansion in Carmel. Check out the vendors!
