I'm easy to talk to until I flip the script. And, I am also esitly accessible to people until they piss me off. I like to laugh and l like to make people smile. It ease the tensions if the day. I REALLY like people. They are funny and full of not so important informtion that they always want to share with you. That's how blogging was invented!

I will call Margaret tomorrow and confirm May 21 as the date of the event. I'll touch bases with the necessary parties at the school to let them know what is going on. I've already sent out emails to my box mom to get the right email addresses and phone numbers. My daughter suggested that I be a box parent next year to offset expenses.

I truly did not know so much was involved!

Your PR strategy sounds great! We can do it. If we go ahead an open the 9th to all of SI, that date at Morty's can be an in-house jump off date for the full promotion. And, we can give attendees for the May 9th event a discount (only $5.00) to the May 21st event as incentive.

Ichose this committee so that I could learn a thing or two about fund raising that I didn't know. Considering the conversation we had earlier, I only wish to enhance my experience to help make things better!

One more thing. This is what my committee will be doing:

Tables / Tickets

· Raise $65,000 by selling 520 single tickets at $125 each

· Organize design, printing and distribution of invitations

· Organize design, printing and distribution of tickets and table assignments

· Create and maintain guest list (including contact and payment information)

· Create seating chart and table assignments

· Manage process of invoicing for pledges prior to event

· Manage registration table on day of event

Recent email: Mark your calendars. The 100 is celebrating our 25th Anniversary in grand style on Friday, September 25th at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. We have several committees starting to meet this month to plan the event (i.e. Marketing, Sponsorships, Ticket Sales, Silent Auction, etc.). I will have to get back with you about tomorrow. 2-6 might be canceled. 10-1 is definitely on. From 2-6 I was selling prom dresses for $10.00, but by appt. only. I have no appts. From 10 to 1 I have an activation clinic with Operation "OpenUP!"

The irony is that I'm a westsider too, and I'm trying to organize a monthly dinner group for business women on this side of town. Just before reading this, I confirmed a Thursday mtng with Emily Meaux and the 100 Black Men of Indianapolis. It starts at 6 so I might be able to make it to Speedway if it only lasts an hour.

Tuesday at 2 is not good. I will be at REnata's Bed and Breakfast from 10 to 1 and from 2 to 6. That's at 2201 S. Lynhurst at Raymond. YOu are welcome to come there or we can reschedule.
