Music today is going backwards, but why?

1935-1950... Frank Sinatra was the big man of the music industry with his vocals
1960... Beach Boys, The Beatles, and Jimi Hendrix rocked the stage with the first smell of rock and roll with guitar solos and big bands.
1970... Led Zeppelin brought it to the next level with long songs with even more solos.
1980... the age of Rock and Roll. Acdc, Journey, and other rock bands from Britain.
1990s.. Pop became a main genre, but good old rock and roll was still alive

Colts... Will they ever reach the super bowl again?

The Colts started the year off terrible, probably the worst since Manning's first year. After, however , we recovered and went on a huge 9 game win streak. Playoff and super bowl hopes were high. Game 1 against the Chargers we were looking sloppy, but it still looked like we could squeeze by with a TD by a quick snap and catching the defense off. Then 3rd and 4 by out own goal line and we decide to pass? A sack, a defensive holding, and a huge run gain later we are done.. another 1st round loss… Continue

Get HOT RATS by Frank Zappa. You'll see what I mean. Peaches En Regalia is my favorite tune and Little Umbrellas is always a part of my shows.

Hi James! Sorry it took so long to reply.
Yes, I am a bass guitar player and have been playing in the Central/North-Central part of Indiana for about 30 years. My college training is in Jazz, but I enjoy all types of music.

James,
Listened to you stuff and it sounds good.
Just keep playing and have fun. That was the best advice given to me and I'm passing it on.
Let me know if you get out and play somewhere.
Take care,
dk

Hi James,
I received your message, thanks for reaching out.
I see you have a group put together. What kind of stuff are you playing?
I am thinking about putting a small group together for jamming and maybe getting out and playing, hopefully to make a little money doing something we love.
Do you sing? Vocal harmony is one thing that really makes a band stand out.
Let's keep in touch and maybe we can get together soon.
The guys I am with now, The Power Tubes, are playing tonight and tomorrow in downtown Anderson at Kroakerheads. If you're up for a road trip, stop in and say hi.
See ya,
Dwayne
