Why join Smaller Indiana? What are you hoping to experience here ?
I am the self-employed owner of Kirkland Piano Service. I tune, repair, rebuild, and buy and sell used pianos. I tune pianos for homes, churches, schools, and organizations. I service all the pianos for Indianapolis Public Schools.

I am also a pianist and play for parties and receptions. I have played at Von Maur, Marriott Hotel, and some restaurants. My style is what you would call Easy Listening - background dinner music. I play the oldies and standards with good melodies and harmonies. I have played for company Christmas parties and am looking for more opportunities to play.

I have put off too long getting a website, well, I finally did it and have already got good response. I tell about my backgroud, show pictures of pianos I have for sell, and a sampling of my piano music. Here's the site:

Thanks,

I noticed your comment in the Indiana Republicans group. I'm seeking information on how to get more involved with Indiana politics and thought you might have some interesting insight. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thank you kindly,

Arik

Jack, if you happen to be free Tuesday at noon for an hour, our Greenwood Chapter of IBN is meeting at Greenwood Office Suites, 3209 West Smith Valley Road. Bring a lot of biz cards and we would like to help you create new connections. You are also welcome to complete a profile on our IBN webssite like that is quite similar to SI.

People used to say "if you don’t have a business card you are not in business" - now it applies to website...
website is must nowadays... I made mine at html format just to have presents - will eventually have a full scale site (working on it). Try Craigslists to place your ad under services or lessons. I would go to any art places and leave a flyer behind. I can show you how to find contacts in your vertical market, should you choose to.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Today - 19 years ago - I left Kiev with my family to start my 6 mos journey to US via two countries in Europe... - so I have something to be thankful about!

Hi Jack,

and welcome to SI - I found it an interesting place.

I used to be a Business Developer with lots of contacts at the Northern part of Indy.

Would be happy to share with you my database, should you choose to.

Help

A few things to consider before joining Smaller Indiana:
1. We want to know the real you...Please use your real name (first and last) when you sign up, or we cannot open your account

2. We want to know the real you...Please do NOT use your Smaller Indiana blog for blatant self promotion

3. We want to see your smiling face...Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

4. Events should be posted in the events calendar, not inside blog posts

5. Please do NOT post commercial video (demo reels), or Corporate Website promotions in your blog

6. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.

7. Please keep all comments civil and polite. It's OK to feel strongly about a subject, and it's OK to be critical of ideas, but please refrain from personal attacks of any kind.

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.
