Better we stay out of this one. Let's not give them a "bad guy" to distract whatever outcome they create.

Ok Annie, depending on what in the world I'm working on the morning of the 12th, I plan to attend and 'do the Zing'! 11 to 1.

Dan Doll might attend Annie Sever-Dimitri's event
May 12, 2009 from 11am to 1pm
Come Do It with us downtown at Zing! Anyone who works, lives, or just loves downtown should meet us for business networking and chuckles.

Hi Annie, you might try "Mina's" on Ohio and just east from Alabama. You may want to call first as I haven't a clue as how much alterations would cost. Great place for mens' suits - oops, that ain't you! Well, maybe the 'Mister' then. Feel free to...

Do you do First Fridays Art Gallery crawl? How about a meetup one day on the Canal? We could crash into one another's paddle boats? Or pinbowling on Fountain Square? Dine July 4th on the rooftop of the bowling alley and watch the fireworks?

Oh yes, Dan. They are all contiguous and, though not in walking distance of downtown events, are just a few minutes away by car... Herron Morton definitely. When I lived in Woodruff Place I got to everything downtown in a jiffy. Broadripple is jus...

Jules, I definely agree with you, however, I feel your 'definition' of what area is to be considered 'downtown' is too small. Look at a Marion County map at how large the city is and then tell me that Fountain Square, Ransom Place, and others like...

Chris: I'd also welcome the surrounding neighborhoods to be a part of the downtown group including Fountain Square, Garfield Park, Ransom Place, etc. These are not centrally located downtown neighborhoods, but they are within a few miles (or less...

Not being as articulate as those who have replied to this question already, I will simply say that I agree that most who harbor extreme views on any particular issue may very well indeed be of questionable mental stability. Those who are judging o...

Right on Jamie! My product is service. I engage in property management, so my 'product' is clean, affordable, tasteful, well-maintained rental units. I frequently have former tenants calling me back when they have changed their circumstances and a...

Mark, a great topic for you would be 'time management under pressure'! Good luck and hurry! Dan Doll

I feel Annette, that Indiana would probably be one of the last of the States to condone same-sex marriage. As a married man with 4 children, I have no problem with consenting adults of the same sex desiring to marry with all the same rights my wif...

Great Idea Anne! I would envision that depending on each project, certain groups could be drafted for particular 'phases of work. We could enlist low security inmates, students from nearly every level of education (service hours), church groups, n...

Great! Just click on events at the top of the main page, then Doing It Downtown should be in the upcoming events box toward the right. If not, just type Doing It Downtown into the search box, and it will come up. There is a box that gives you the opportunity to RSVP for the event; just put that you will be there, and come have fun! Let me know if you have any problems with this--I feel your computer pain, let me tell ya! I look forward to meeting you then!

Ha ha! You'll learn fast. It's not as complicated as most think. If you need help with anything just shout.

Best,

A few things to consider before joining Smaller Indiana:
1. Please use your real name (first and last) when you sign up, or we cannot open your account

2. Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

3. Events should be posted in the events calendar

4. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.

5. Please keep all comments civil and polite. It's OK to feel strongly about a subject, and it's OK to be critical of ideas, but please refrain from personal attacks of any kind.

If you witness or experience any issues, please contact admin@smallerindiana.com and we will look into the matter.

6. Smaller Indiana is supported by its members, and by corporate sponsors. If you're interested in learning more about sponsorship, please call Pat Coyle at 317 332 7878.
