I left the site because there is an overwhelming negative atmosphere on the site because some of the more active members choose to resort to calling others names. While the administrator, Pat Coyle, has stated that name-calling will not be tolerated, he has failed to do anything about those who are doing this.

If a social media site, such as Smaller Indiana, institutes a rule such as "no name-calling", they must enforce it in a fair way, without the double-standards that tend to exist inherently here for those who are friends of Pat's and those who are not (or those who do not have the same views as his group of people).

While this site did provide a great outlet for me to discuss many different topics, those who resort to name-calling have ruined it for me, and for many others. It's unfortunate because I thought this site could be something big and important...I now don't think it's worth anyone's time or energy.
