Mid-Life Crisis or "Second Act"?

When I was 40 I bought a Harley-Davidson…. while my wife was out of the country. I told everyone that that was my mid-life crisis. Eight years later I still have the motorcycle. And my wife.

I’ve only really had two jobs in my adult life. For the first 16 years I worked for the same Information Technology fi… Continue

Changing Landscape of Retirement

Unless you have been living on a deserted island for the last year you know that the economy has changed a lot of things in our lives. The impact of this upheaval is certainly being felt right here in Central Indiana. According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, our state had a 9.9% unemployment rate in April.

Most Hoosiers have been affected by the downturn in the stock and bond markets and their 401(k)s or other retirement savings programs have been reduced – sometimes by 30%… Continue
