Hello Brad,
I just finished reading the Advertising Age article you recommended, and the commentary was indeed thought provoking. There is still room in our time for good ad work, born of a single concept, and well executed. I've experienced the dilemna many companies face in the "reality" of their product. A brand associated with a commodity product (Coke or Pepsi) versus something less common, more expensive, or just special (iPhone comes to mind) cuts a different jib. Ultimately, though, I think it may have something to do with the demise of the two martini lunch. Makes me want to roll up my sleeves, and dive right in!
