Tall In Indy's 1st Vlog Post!!

Because a lot of the work that I've been doing has been on the internet, someone suggested that I put my face out there and do a Video Blog, or in this day in age, a "vlog"

There is a little bit of lag with the video and the sound. I'll get that ironed out as soon as I figure it out. I've had some great responses from many people on a few different sites. After I made this Video Cheyenne Jack did some of his computer magic and gave me a temporary site to use until our site is finished being bui… Continue

Dreaming Tall

I've had a very exciting afternoon in the world of Tall Fashion. Roy Parkin, founder of TallGenez.com, has decided to help me along in my adventures. We've been talking about Tall In Indy and how exactly to get the word out about what I'm working on achieving for not only myself but for other tall women. One of the things that Roy and I have decided to do is bring him to Indianapolis and host a fashion event here in town. I have goosebumps!!

Tall In Indy

Somebody recently suggested that I join Smaller Indiana to get the word out about what I'm trying to do.

I'm in the very beginning stages of putting together Tall In Indy, a social networking core for the Tall Community of Indianapolis. I'm looking to get into Fashion for not only Tall Women, but Tall Men and Tall Children/Teens. I'm hoping to start support groups for Tall Teens to help encourage a positive self esteem for teenagers. I would also like to organize a social group for those indivi… Continue

Hello my fellow smaller indiana friends. I have some great news!!! I just purchased FishersFind.com, a website dedicated to the Fishers community. FishersFind.com receives approximately 3,000 - 4,000 unique visitors per week and can offer some ...

John, I've had some luck at K&G Mens wharehouse located in Target's plaza near Castleton Square Mall. Their styles are definately non-conservative.

Any of you tall folks out there found a good online source for clothes? I've pretty much settled on Lands End, as they have a good selection of "tall" clothing. The fashion is pretty conservative. OK for work, but not too exciting for anything el...

Is it rude for tall people to have good posture... standing tall and erect? However, I am not too concerned on whether it is polite.... but, I do find it hard to not notice, and possibly talk to, people's balding spots... it is more comfortable ha...

Hi I'm 6'8". Pants are difficult for me as well. My waist is too small for the big & tall stores. (could never figure that out). Does anyone have any suggestions for pants; I wear 40x38 (inseam)
May 22
I think I've seen those....they called them "man-pris." I don't think they lasted on the market that long. Too funny.
May 22
In terms of finding pants.... I find it very frustrating to see people with an inseam of 32" or less wearing pants with pant legs rolled or folded over... and when I go shopping, only finding pants with inseams of 32" or less. Maybe we could start...

Part man, part flamingo, that's hilarious! I have a 37" inseam as well. Best of luck in finding your tall pants for the long-idy leg-idid. :)
May 22
Good info, Julie - thanks for the tips. Jeans/khakis are challenging for me in that I'm disproportionately leggy. I think my genetics must include a trace of flamingo or something :-) I'm a 33W by 37L.

Heard back from my brother, here was his response for finding tall clothing for men: "For jeans, I'm 33 W and 34 Length. Those aren't too hard to find, so I imagine he's wondering about nice work clothes. For shirts, I ordered from Penney's. Have...

I love the Muppets. I grew up watching them, and have seen all of the movies. Now I'm introducing my kids to them, and they think they're hysterical.

Since your mom sews and is making your wedding gown, it looks like you have your own sewing needs covered.

As far as getting involved in your Tall in Indy group, I'd sure like to find out more.

Hi Ashley,

Tall people can have clothes fitting issues. I see you are into fashion, do you sew? If not, you could probably use my custom sewing or alteration help. Since you are in Speedway, you are very close to my location.

Are you a member of Fashion Group? If not I could put you in touch with folks here in Indy in that Group.
