Administrative Clerk
Responsible for many tasks in the 13 years with the company which included, handling all information with strict confidentiality, answering public questions regarding services in person or over the phone, data entry of reports in which I also performed research. Effective communication with diverse backgrounds including executive-management to field staff. Typed and proofread various documents. Performed payroll and accounting for company and contract employees. Organized events and programs for the company that consisted of Student Networking program, Indiana Black Expo job fair, travel arrangements, and meeting set up. Maintained a reputation as a hard worker with a “whatever it takes” attitude who performed advanced and complex technical clerical duties requiring considerable judgment and analysis.
Accomplishments:
 Was given the responsibility to schedule and complete approximately 400 I.D. pictures of the Medal of Honor staff, hosts, and spouses for the Congressional Medal of Honor Memorial festivities. This involved detailed coordination and verification that all the I.D’s were correct and available before the deadline.
 Completed 1,100 I.D. pictures of all company employees located in five locations from mid-September to mid-December to be prepared for Y2K. This task involved detailed organization and strong communication with supervisors utilizing independent judgment and knowledge of employee schedules to ensure smooth transition from shift to minimize distraction, lost production, and no overtime. All while making sure my regular duties were also being completed on time. I loved the challenge, good feeling of accomplishment, ability to make the decisions, and successfully completing such a huge project.
 Successful planning and coordinating of company programs which included Student Networking Programs and INROADS Programs (which also included scheduling tours at E. W. Stout and Morris Street for the students and itineraries for the supervisors). Another event included making arrangements and reservations for a two day Collective Bargaining Conference for 500 people which also consisted of hotel reservations and assisted the Director at the Conference. Daily duties in all of my previous experience at IPL have involved scheduling and setting up meetings.
 Proofed and approved classified employment advertising in county papers covering the suburbs around Indianapolis which we had not done in the past. This required independent judgment and good proofreading skills.

Certified Professional Secretary – Completed two parts “Behavior Science in Business" and "Accounting".
