Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

Are there any writers groups on the Southside of Indianapolis that need members? I'm looking for one that that meets evenings a couple of times a month with 6 or 7 people who are serious about their craft. I write mostly non-fiction but I'm trying to get a fictional story off the ground.

Is anyone else out there who would be interested in starting a group if none is available???

If you look further back in the discussion you will see some information about writers groups in the area as I asked the question myself a few months back. I would be willing to join in on a new group as well if you find another person or two interested. I work on the southside and live in Franklin so that would potentially be convenient for me.

I'm on the southside and would love to join a group. I live in Mooresville. I'm a technical writer for a living but I write fiction outside of work. Let me know if you would like to start a group or if you hear of one in our "neighborhood".

Did anything come of this for you? I'm also looking for a writers group on the southside and if you found one that you've liked, I'd love to hear about it. I write fiction and would love to get in touch with a good writers group or a good critique group.

I live in Greenwood and would also be very interested in a Southside writers group. I am a member of the Online Writer's Worshop for Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror and have sold 4 short stories over the past few years. I have a more than full time job and 3 kids and find that a group helps me stay motivated to keep writing. So, please count me in if this goes anywhere.

Best,

Matt

Gordon. If you are still interested in a writers group on the south side there is one that meets twice a month at the Barnes & Noble in Greenwood at the mall. We meet Sundays from 4-6 pm in the Starbucks area. We meet next on Sunday, September 13. Our groupd has 5 members currently with a wide range of writing interests and experiences and we regularly critique each other's work. Let me know if you are interested in attending. Thanks.
