Hey Steve - in my opinion, since it seems this would be your first "touch" with these contacts after the event, it would be viewed by the recipient as a cold call since it would not be from you directly. Would love to chat more with you sometime on how to leverage your networking activities and help build relationships with those potential clients and networking partners.

The way this sounds right now, it would not be a good fit for my business. Shoot me an email directly at serina@adminadvantage.biz, and I can give you a referral for a group that is more comfortable with this sort of project. That is if you haven't gotten any other responses from the VA's on here.

Hi Serina, These would be calls to referrals or to networking event business card exchanges. So, kind-of cold calling but with kind-of an intro of some type.
The purpose of the calls is to see if they would like to meet to 1) discuss business or 2) to network together.

Hello Steve - my company does not do typical cold calling or telemarketing, so it would really depend on what you are hoping to accomplish with these phone calls. I do know a company that works with some clients on lead generation, cold calling and telemarketing, which could be a better fit for you. Just let me know if you are interested.

Who has a great phone voice, and is very professional with an hour or two this week to call business people with whom I exchanged cards with at the recent Chocolate Blues Networking Event?

Tahneesha - thanks so much for this information! It is amazing the amount of information that is available to us - sometimes it gets overwhelming searching for the best resources and tools out there. That is why I think it is wonderful for us to share what we really enjoy and what we think will be beneficial for other virtual assistants. Thanks again, Tahneesha!

Hello all. I am constantly encouraged with the growth of the Virtual Assistant Industry. I like to remain current with the activities and trends by reading related news, articles and blogs. This also has been a great way to find new resources and ideas for my business. So, I wanted to share with you two new resources: VA Today Magazine and The Virtual Entrepreneur. Both of these resources are free- enjoy!

Hello! I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful Friday. I wanted to share with you one of my favorite VA resources. It is a podcast called A Virtual Perception. I think it offers useful topics for VAs and small business owners. You can check it out here.
All the best. -T

Word of mouth marketing is how I have gotten every client - what organizations or networking groups are you part of?
