Making people and ideas findable

Last week I had a pleasant surprise when I strolled into the Taiwan Tea House at Clearwater Crossing. It started with some odd glances back and forth with one of the restaurant staff. Not sure if I should make a fool out of myself confusing him with someone else, I took the leap and sure enough, he was a fellow Greyhound Alum that I had shared a class or two with a few years ago.

When Chun Ling Lee graduated in 2006, I remember him telling me specifically that his plan was to assist family and friends in starting a Taiwanese-themed restaurant on the north side. Frankly, I dismissed it at the time - but obviously, they did it!

I've visited several times since then, and for those of you who haven't stopped in yet, you should. It's a very cozy place that serves great teas and traditional fare. It's clean, cheap (most dishes are around $7), and delicious.

Let's help a fellow Alum knock this one out of the park and make 2009 a great year.
