Major plug for GuruConnector Street Newspapers this morning on FOX59 TV News! I am seeking funding to get partially donated space for a year at downtown church ($500), publishing 7,000 newspapers with Indiana publisher ($1,000) & additional funds for monthly recurring costs for Internet/Phone ($50 month). I have met with area city street newspaper directors, national street news association, local newspapers (e.g. IBJ), area non profit org directors working with the homeless (Trusted Partners, Literacy Plus, Pourhouse etc). I need editors, editing software, volunteers, contacts for corporate/individual funding. I also plan to reach out to the owners/editors of NUVO, Urban Times, Indpls Star and other area newspaper for reciprocal advertisements and other knowledge & assistance!

Learn more about street newspapers at: www.nasna.org. There are close to 100 such programs worldwide, distributing over 100,000 news papers monthly on average. The closest cities to Indpls where I have found the program are Cincinnati, St. Louis and Chicago.

Glad to join. Such newspapers exist in other cities. Is there a template for starting one?
