From Vincennes University:
VEVAY, Ind. - The public is invited to a grand opening of the new Advanced Manufacturing Program and Lab on Dec. 4, 11:30 a.m. (EST), at Switzerland High School, 1020 W. Main St., in Vevay.

The grand opening will include a press conference featuring instructors and students, followed by a tour of the Advanced Manufacturing Lab, the only such program lab located at a high school in southern Indiana. The tour will include student demonstrations of robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and programmable logic controllers. PLCs are digital computers used for automation of electromechanical processes.

The program is sponsored by the Switzerland County School Corp., Community Foundation of Switzerland County, Switzerland County Economic Development Corp., EcO 15, and Vincennes University.

You might know Rick Richardson, he went to UE about that time. Yeah, I know about the growing up thing! lol It took me over 25 years to get my degree! Good to know you, Joe!

Cheryl,

I'm a Bosse graduate, class of '79, and attended UE from 79-81 while trying to "grow up." Oh geez a long story there lol. So I ended up joining the army in '82. And I agree with you... Donut Bank- YUM!

Hi Joe, USI is a great school. Went there for a time as well back in the 80s. What year did you attend UE? I went to Harlaxton in '83. Haven't been back to Evansville in years! Still miss Donut Bank. lol

As for you, Jeff, I have a ghosted book coming out soon and am working on MERLD World...a book for parents who have children with mixed expressive-receptive learning disorder (two of three of my kids do). I am working on my second ghosted novel and now would like to do a biography of someone from southern Indiana or a history or history of crime, etc.

Hi again Cheryl... oh great, I come in on the "cops and courts" post. Maybe I shouldn't waive my right to remain silent....

Anyway, after that bad joke... I went to U of E for a year or so, then joined the army. Returned to Evansville to attend school at USI instead, then taught there for eight years before moving here. I grew up and lived on the south and east sides of E'ville, and I get back there every few months to visit family and friends.

I just noticed, we are not the smallest group on smaller Indiana. It would be nice to grow this group.
