Indiana Campus Compact is sponsoring a 5-day retreat for college students to focus on social entrepreneurship. Students will have the opportunity to visit successful social ventures while learning how to create their own successful venture.

The Social Venture Institute will include students from the following campuses: Ivy Tech Columbus, Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, Taylor University, Valparaiso University, Ball State University, Indiana University Bloomington and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

These students will come together August 10-14 in Indianapolis to see successful social ventures addressing social issues. They will learn the basics of creating their own social venture while having the opportunity to network with other students and experts on social entrepreneurship.

Hello all! I am fairly new to the world of Social Ventures. I have had the opportunity to learn about the multiple definitions of the phrase as well as hearing about so many amazing people doing amazing things. I realize now that many of my favorite organizations are, in fact, great social entrepreneurs taking service to the next level. I am excited to expand my knowledge and network through the Social Venture Institute and look forward to carrying this experience with me into the next steps of my life!
