Making people and ideas findable

I am in the process of opening my chiropractic office and I will be needed someone to perform the administrative functions of the office (phones, scheduling, payment etc..) and I would appreciate suggestions on where to find someone. In the past I used craigslist, which doesn't seem to have as much traffic here as it did in Portland. Thank you for your suggestions.

Dear Dr. Bingham,

I work as a Community Outreach Coordinator for Easter Seals Crossroads here in Indianapolis. We assist individuals with disabilities/abilities in a variety of services. The particular department I work in is the Employment Division where we assist these individuals in finding employment. We have a large pool of consumers that are currently looking for employment, some of which are specialized in the field of administrative work. We work with consumers who have Doctoral Degrees to GED's. While I was a job coach I assisted an individual in finding employment as an accountant a local company to another individual who now works at a pizza place folding pizza boxes. Needless to say it is a very wide range of job goals and abilities these individuals possess. If you would be interested in learning more about our organization and some of the individuals we work with please let me know.

Good luck with the opening of your chiropractic office and welcome to Indianapolis!

Have a good day!

Dr. Bingham,

As I work in personal finance, I have found relationships with employment service providers to be productive for us both. Referring to me displaced employees that need help in rolling over their retirement plans and me referring to them, people looking for jobs.
Following are some good people at companies, you may want to contact, who may be able to help fill your need for an administrative person:

Debbie Hale, Elwood Staffing, (317) 837-8895 ext. 109 debbie.hale@elwoodstaffing.com
Betsy Knoke, 10 til 2, (317) 506-4921 bknoke@tentiltwo.com
Tracey Lane, Todays Office, (317) 464-2001 tracey.lane@todays.com

Good luck with the growth of your business.

If I can be of service to you or someone you know, please feel free to contact me!

Thanks for the information. Betsy Knoke was mentioned earlier and I like the idea of the 10-2 if they can be flexible with the times.

Dr. Bingham~

Where are you located? I happen to know someone who is amazing at finding employees. Her name is Michele Urban... she does all the pre-interviewing for you so you only get quality people. You can contact Michele at michele4909@comcast.net
In addition, if you would send me your contact information at kelly@moreclients.net I would be more than happy to show you how you can get your business off the ground!

Hello Dr. Bingham,

I am a very experienced administrative professional with more than 8 years experience. I actually started my own company offering virtual assistant services and business meeting planning. I would be more than happy to assist you with the startup of your office and I do have a couple of very good candidates available to interview with you if you would like.

I am really trying to build my portfolio and would not be concerned with making a ton of money helping you get started. I would then train and bring in the candidate in which you decide interviews the best.

I may be contacted at (317) 997-2643 on my mobile or by email at nichole.wermer@gmail.com.

My company website (very basic site - it is in progress) is:

Thanks for the reply!

I am not currently hiring anyone for the position, but hope to be soon. Most likely it will be sometime the beginning of the year. I will keep your information and let you know what I decide to do. Also, I was interested in learning more about the networking event that you mentioned. Where is it going to be located?

Another vote for Michelle Urban.

Sorry, the link is www.linkedin.com/in/annbdodds. I was wondering if you filled the clerical position in your office yet?

I would be interested in discussing this with you. My e-mail is dodds41099@sbcglobal.net.

Hi: I'm sure Indy is different from Portland. I lived in Seattle for 12 years and moved back to Indy to be with family. Once you get your new practice up and running, if you need some HR assistance, employee handbook, etc. feel free to give me a call.

Safari Solutions is a great to help with your employee search.
