Welcome Service Professionals!

As service professionals we are in charge of doing the work as well as bringing in the work. This puts tremendous pressure on us to succeed and is hard to do alone.

Relationships are extremely important to the success of a service professional. We rely heavily on quality referrals to help us sustain our book of business.

The goal of this group is not straight-up self-promoting/networking, but rather a place where we can all help each other succeed. Offering advice, suggestions, and building quality relationships are just a few of the benefits of being a part of this group.

If you have any friends/colleagues that could benefit from being a part of this group, please don't hesitate to invite them!

Toby Reeves Comment by Toby Reeves on June 11, 2009 at 3:02pm
Hello, I am new to the group and wanted to introduce myself as well. My name is Toby Reeves, and I am President of Rescott, LLC Marketing & Technology, a small technology innovator in Carmel.

Over the years, we've blended our expertise in I.T. network support with internet solutions. We still provide computer I.T. support to small to medium sized businesses. My main love is developing and implementing brand new solutions to the market.

One such solution I just completed is DoConference.com, a new web based video conferencing platform. It's is expecially ideal for trainers and consultants who conduct webinars online. We are offering a 14 day free trial of DoConference.com to those who are interested.

I look forward to meeting you in future events and online. If I can assist in any way with any of our I.T. and Marketing solutions, I would appreciate the opportunity.

Hello everyone. I am new to the Service Professionals Group and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Shelly Arens and I am a Business Developer for Professional Staff Management.

I provide HR solutions to business owners with W-2 employees. Similar to using a CPA firm or Law firm, business owners use a PEO to provide outsourced HR expertise to help systematize their business, reduce expenses and make more money from their investment in their employees.

I look forward to meeting you and learning how I may assist you with referrals.

Standard Locknut, a Westfield-based company, has laid off over seventy employees in the last two months, reducing its workforce by half. If anyone knows any of the laid-off workers, I would be grateful for a warm introduction. Please contact me via my inbox. Thank you!

Help

A few things to consider before joining Smaller Indiana:

1. We want to know the real you...Please use your real name (first and last) when you sign up, or we cannot open your account

2. We want to know the real you...Please do NOT use your Smaller Indiana blog for blatant self promotion

3. We want to see your smiling face...Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

4. Events should be posted in the events calendar, not inside blog posts

5. Please do NOT post commercial video (demo reels), or Corporate Website promotions in your blog

6. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.

7. Smaller Indiana is supported by its members, and by corporate sponsors. If you're interested in learning more about sponsorship, please call Pat Coyle at 317 332 7878.
