Theresa, you'll find we've beat up our lakeshore. Michigan City, Gary, Hammond all pretty awful looking these days. Although Portage has been working on a lakeshore revitalization project to try and change all that.

Hey, I don't have the pleasure of living in NW Indiana but can I still hang out with you? Will you accept a "downstater"? I travel to the Region on business and want to learn more. I recently visited Michigan City for possibly the first time and LOVED the lake front but was saddened by the poverty in the remainder of the town. Would enjoy learning more about NW Indiana.
