Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

Ok, here is what I sketched out for a downtown walking tour focused on key landmarks in the "core spine" of downtown from Union Station to the Library. I label the first three as "0a", etc. because those would be optional stops for the adventurous. The idea being that you can start either at Union Station or at the State House. Comments/suggestions?

0a. Union Station
0b. Indianapolis Artsgarden
0c. Indiana Theater
1. Indiana State House
2. Monument Circle / Soldiers and Sailors Monument
3. Circle Theater
4. Circle Tower
5. Columbia Club
6. Christ Church Cathedral
7. Memorial Mall Overview
8. United States Courthouse
9. University Park
10. Indiana World War Memorial
11. Veterans Memorial Plaza
12. American Legion Mall
13. Scottish Rite Cathedral
14. Minton-Capehart Federal Building
15. Central Library

Looks like a good list to work from. I wouldn't add a separate entry for this, but some mention should definitely be made of the rotation of the Indiana Bell Building. Maybe that could be mentioned as a side note when people are at a site near where that building stood.

First step is to link to their official websites.
I am particularly interested in databases from the IMCPLibrary, State and Federal websites for ISEN.

Thanks for compiling this list.

Fed building may be found on usa.gov or usa.gov could just be the URL.

I will be looking into databases as ISEN moves forward...

Thanks again.

Now we need a clickable map!
