Howdy, folks!
There’s no better place to be in the summer than enjoying live music on the patio at The Moon Dog Tavern!

Join American Cheese Thursday night, June 25, from 8 to 11, rain or shine.
And don’t eat before you come – the food is great!

The Moon Dog Tavern is on 96th Street and Gray Road at 4825 E. 96th St.

Can’t wait to see you there!

The Fifth Annual Midwest Mandolin Festival will take place this Saturday, June 6, at Eagle Creek Park. The event will begin at noon and continue until early evening. There will be numerous bands and solo performers, all acoustic, and all of whom feature the mandolin. I will be playing at noon with Mandolindy, a traditional mandolin ensemble, and at 12:30 with the Mando Commandos, a boundary-stretching duo. The event is FREE with paid admission to Eagle Creek Park. The festivities will be located at the Marina. The MMF is hosted my the Central Indiana Mandolin Society. For more information, visit www.mandolindy.com or www.myspace.com/mandolinsociety.

Hello everybody. Just dropping a quick note to say I'm going to be on stage tonight with The Verge from 7:30pm to 11:30pm at the Old Town Ale House in Fishers (across from the Nickel Plate Grill...just a block or so east of the SuperTarget on 116th St.). Great food and beers. Lots of new songs and arrangements if you haven't heard us in a while.

Here it is again Deanna, just in case my post on your page didn't stick. I would be happy to help you with your song. I've done lots of that kind of work over the 45 years I've been playing piano, 35 of them professionally. I'm a very good on the spot creator, so I'd love to contribute to your creation. Fred Yde

Anybody know a keyboard player who could add piano instrumentation to a song I have written? I need it fast and I need to record it. Any ideas?

Hey everybody. Hope you all are finding time in your day to de-stress some by doing whatever you do with music, whether it's playing an instrument or singing or both. If you're out and about on Saturday looking for a good meal and some live acoustic rock music, I'm playing a solo show at The Old Town Ale House at 8657 E. 116th St. in Fishers. A few of my local musician friends have threatened to show up and sit in on some songs, so it should be fun. The show starts at the early time of 7pm and goes until about 11pm. Rock on!
Rod Schindler (Tonos Triad) Comment by Rod Schindler (Tonos Triad) on April 15, 2009 at 9:33pm
Greetings all. I just joined the Musicians Unite! group and thought I'd say hello.

I'm a founding member of the group Tonos Triad. We're a unique combination of jazz, folk, & experimental styles with popular music overtones. Our instrumentation consists of upright bass, classical guitar, accordion, mandolin, melodica, and a homemade drum set crafted from a suitcase and a cardboard box. All songs are original compositions.

We're always on the lookout for venues/events/fundraisers to play.

We are also toying with the idea of having guest musicians to sit in with us every once in a while. So if you like what you hear and want to be a part of it, get in touch!

I have some mp3s on my profile, and you can also get to our website by following the link: http://tonostriad.com

Looking forward to meeting some of you!

Rod
