My job is to spread the word about how my department puts assistive technology into the hands of people with disabilities, for free, allowing them to gain independence, employment and be involved with the community. It's the third year for this statewide grant and we provide quarterly trainings, an annual conference, device demonstrations and refurbished computers all surrounding tech stuff. To spread the word about all of the great services we provide I need to learn to utilize Internet resources effectively. Our goal is to serve as many individuals in Indiana as possible and make sure others are knowledgeable of what we do! A ticket to this conference is beneficial not only to me but to people in Indiana who need us but do not know of us.

My business life is spent online. I create tutorials for software and web sites, I consult with ecommerce sites, I ghost write for sites, and just about anything else people need. So it's not a matter how online marketing effects my business, it's really that online marketing is my business.

What I have only just begun doing is helping directly with social media. It's where I need most to learn at this point. I've been on Facebook for years, on Twitter since they only had 100k people, on LinkedIn for a long while, and now SmallerIndiana.com. But I'm mostly playing, with no plan or structure. I believe your conference would bring it all together for me so I can have a plan and structure in place.

I currently feel competent with my knowledge of the topics included. Of course, I often wonder what I am missing. It is hard to know something if you do not know, that you do not know, right? I am a small business owner who would appreciate the value of the knowledge the others would be sharing and the value of the free ticket. I would look to gain knowledge that can not only effect the success of my small business but the others my little business is supporting. Look forward to learning from your panel of experts. Follow me on twitter @yougonetwork. :) Needed a couple extra words to get to 100 but seriously follow me if you see value.

I can only imagine the losses my business is experiencing on a daily basis by not utilizing these extremely important tools in marketing. I am familiar with Facebook and use it on a personal basis but would LOVE the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals what is really "working" in the online marketing arena. I am way behind in this area, and this would be an excellent chance to explore new (to me) and exciting possibilites for the growth of our business! Thanks for putting the opportunity out there! :)

Huh. The very fact that I cannot figure out whether or not this Comment Wall constitutes the MBO "group message board" should serve as a clear indication of my dire need for your educational offerings. As Director of Marketing for a large central Indiana nonprofit, I know we are (I am) well past the witching hour for getting on board that speeding "Social Network" express train. In short, we are not utilizing online marketing efforts and I know it is effecting our agency adversely. We need to reach younger volunteers... We need to garner younger donors...and I, most definitely, need your expertise in order to help my agency find -- and capture! -- these young moving targets. Would I like to attend your MBO Conference? Oh, yeah. Would my CEO love for me to win a free ticket? You betcha!
