Plumbing convention at the Lushin office this morning (Thursday, 2/5/09). Aaron left the garage door to his house open last night and froze the water lines to the water softener and water heater. Modern Plumbing had just finished class and Heffner showed up to bust Aaron's chops. Fortunately no damage was done, but Aaron did receive a booby prize for his oversight.

At a recent entrepreneur roundtable discussion, everyone agreed that the most difficult position to hire for was . . . Sales, Sales, Sales! Any thoughts?
Lee Ann Meredith Comment by Lee Ann Meredith on December 31, 2008 at 9:51am
Eric - I would agree with Ann. Lushin's training is not hard core selling tactics. Its about listening to your customer and meeting their needs. I may not be for everyone but it has worked for me both in my business dealings and in my personal life. I would recommend the training to everyone.

Eric - it is not uncommon for people to believe that sales training is hard core sales tactics. Yet, it comes as a nice surprise to those you make a commitment to Lushin's training that it is not hard core sales tactics. It all about personal communication training! I, like you, am not the pushy sales type, in fact, I'm not a sales type at all. Yet, as a business owner I must sell. Lushin's training has been great for me. I've even had my non-sales staff go through the program and they have loved it!

I'll do that. Have a good day!

I have a sick child today and I am working from home, so no, I won't be able to. You should encourage everyone at the event to join Smaller Indiana, join this group, and continue the networking online.

Great. So, are you coming this evening?
Bart Caylor Comment by Bart Caylor on November 6, 2008 at 9:11am
Yes, I think we have been in a few classes together. Brainstorm has also handled all of the creative and marketing for Slingshot, including the renaming, branding, web design, and other printed materials.

Have we met?
Bart Caylor Comment by Bart Caylor on November 6, 2008 at 9:04am
I have been going to Lushin since January. Very great experience and have really learned a lot! It is impacting my business and personal life in great ways! Disclosure: I am too a Lushin business partner helping them with marketing and branding.
