What do you love about your iPhone?

After seeing the "Will Apple release a $99 iPhone" topic that Pat Coyle posted, I browsed around to find the iPhone User Group. I just assumed there would be one and was shocked when I didn't find one! There was so much "buzz" around that post I figured someone should throw one up there. So here it is.

Here is what I'd love to know...
What Apps are you finding that you can't live without?
What Apps do you wish existed and/or can't find?
Do you have a iPhone salvation story? You know, a time when the phone saved your life.
What is driving you crazy about the iPhone?

HeyWay is a new push notification application that allows you to track the location of another iPhone running HeyWay. You have to allow people to track you. You can either send them an email inviting them to track you or you can authorize other HeyWay users in your vicinity to track you. The app is free for now so you might want to get it while you can. I'll let you know how well it works once my wife loads it.

Our new phones weren't in on Monday as promised but we are to get them later this week. The upgrades sound great. My hubby was wondering if anyone has seen an app that allows you to search airline flights without going online (i.e. if you are in flight and need to reroute because you'll miss your connection). I've stopped tracking spending bc of the hassle but you guys make it sound easy!

I tracked finances in my Palm PDA for years, and a MessagePad before that. When I jumped to the iPhone 2 years ago, there was a period when I tried to track on the laptop but it just didn't work. I need to have it with me, I need to enter it as I spend it or get it, I need to reconcile every 1-2 weeks.

I remember when I was about 25, I kept a small shirt pocket notebook and wrote every penny down. It amazed me to see what I spent money on, especially how much went to food at cafés and bistros. When I toured the middle east, I wrote down my expenses in the currency of the country.

I no longer track cash, but I keep very little cash on hand. But I just cashed in more than $1,500 in pocket change that I tossed into a bowl then rolled into tubes for the past 7 years. I bought a very nice toy with the proceeds. :)

RE Stereo Bluetooth, I'll have to let you know in a couple of days. I ordered a Motorola MotoROKR S9 after 2 years of patiently waiting for an AD2P driver for my iPhone. No more will wires get tangled while doing yardwork or working out at the gym! Now I am waiting for a bluetooth keyboard driver and I'll have a perfect note-taking machine for meetings and seminars.

I love the new features in the 3.0 operating system. Cut and Paste and the ability to look at most applications in landscape mode is great. I did notice, however, that that my phone seems to be a little more sluggish at times.

Has anyone seen any applications that use the new capability to push information to the phone? Has anyone tried stereo buluetooth yet?

OK, to help answer any general questions about the new 3.0 update, which is absolutely wonderful, here is a link to an article that explains all of the stuff included in the new update. It really is a great update. http://www.macworld.com/article/141240/2009/06/iphone_features.html

Yes Dave, at least using your iphone people will think you had an important text to send ;-) But good for you for following the financial peace program!

Adam I think you would be looking pretty cool entering your finances into your phone. I have been in a Dave Ramsey financial peace class and tracking my purchases. I have to look pretty pathetic at the pop machine getting my notepad out and writing down $1.25.

Thank you Dan, Adam and Tim for your recommendations. I will check them out. I use both platforms on separate notebooks. Windows and a Macbook pro.

I realize that you are probably looking for Windows synchronization so this may not be useful to you, but... I've been using Cha-Ching on the iPhone and on the Mac. I enter data in either place and then synchronize them when I balance my accounts. Transaction entry on the iPhone is very fast, which is important to me.
