ILG is having another Green Scene in March. Theme this season is Grow Your Own and Eat Local: local food and natural gardening. Does anyone have a suggestions on companies that would like to be a part of this type of event? We would like to highlight local growers, seed and gardening suppliers, restaurants or caterers who serve local and healthy food, brewers or wineries. Please contact me if you have any suggestions or would like more information.

Everyone should try The Triple X "XXX" in Layfette, IN. My husband graduated from Purdue and raved about the rootbeer and burgers. The nastalgia and food live up to all expectations! I believe It was featured on the Foodnetwork. Try it out, it is worth the trip!

This group has been a bit dormant. After summer travels, I've got to believe that our group has uncovered some great road food places. Let us know!! For Indy burgers, check out The Hoosier Burger Quest group and join us on one of our outings. Sign up through Smaller Indiana or send me your Twitter name for updates to @davisr66. I've already gotten my burger quest Twitter account, thanks to Bill Bean, but I haven't gotten it set up yet. Keep in touch!

Three restaurants in small town Indiana.

New Harmony - Marconi's Olde Fashioned Soda Shoppe & Pizzeria on South Main Street. Casual, inexpensive and great breadsticks and ice cream drinks

Crawfordsville - Moon Dance Cafe' at the corner of Washington (US 231) and Main Street. Great hospitality, great food and a local hot spot.

Attica - For a locally-owned burger joint, visit Shortstop on SR 28 east of downtown.

Hi,
A co-work needs a nice not too expensive place to take an out of town cousin to dinner. Can anyone suggest something in the Broadripple, Fisher, Noblesville area a couple of 20 somethings would like?
Thanks

My favorite grilled tenderloin is at the Friendly Tavern in Zionsville!

I think Berringer's had a great tenderloin if my memory serves correct - check out the H*** in the Wall outings - there was a good one at one of our lunches..

If you want a good beef stew in Indy, try John's Famous Stew on Kentucky Ave. It is They have a full menu of other things but the stew is excellent.
