Buffer Park Golf Course on the south side of Indianapolis is amazing!

I was invited to come down to play the course, take pictures and write a review for Hoosier Caddy. Thank you David Bean and Brian Babb.

I have nothing but great comments for this course. Buffer Park is a nine-hole, bent grass course that's just shy of 7000 yards from the tips. Every hole is immaculate! I didn't see one unreplaced divot or weed on the course. The tee boxes and fairways felt like carpet and were great to hit from. The greens were fast and perfectly maintained. It took me a few holes to get used to the roll. The clubhouse is small, but very comfortable. It has a pro shop, a sitting area with nice chairs and a tv, and a snack bar. They also have a banquet room for small gatherings. (call the clubhouse at 317-241-5046 for availability and pricing).

I highly recommend this course and intend to play it again when I'm on the south side.

Playing Wood Wind Golf Club (used to be Bent Tree) tomorrow morning!

Anyone played it before? What did you think?

I've played golf since I was 16. In my mid twentys, I started playing softball, and it screwd my whole golf game. You just can't swing a club and a bat the same way.

Jen, if you look into lessons, be sure to post pricing and/or results for our group to review. If you take lessons from a pro at a course, you could leave feedback on the HC web site too!

Good Luck!

I just started playing golf. I thought since I was a college softball player, I'd be able to pick it up pretty easily. WOW! I was wrong. I have a lot of respect now for those who golf. I love playing....but I think I might have to get a few lessons so I can hit the ball straight! :)

First time out was last weekend. Played Tomahawk Hills in Jamestown, IN. Beautiful, well-kept 9 hole course with one doozie of a #9. One of my favs.

I love Ironwood! It's real close to home so I play it a lot.

I golfed Ironwood GC in Fishers this past weekend. Nice clubhouse, friendly staff, great pricing ($30 for 18 wc). The nice thing about Ironwood is it offers 3 9-hole courses to play offering ultimate variety in golf conditions.
We golfed "The Valley" and "The Lakes" - I enjoyed the Lakes better. Holes #6, 7 and 9 are beautiful and challenging as they require you to use finesse and strategy in conquering a big, bold water hazzard! Greens were fast and accounted for a few 3-putts! :(
Although I must admit, I felt like a "course snob" b/c my home course (Harbour Trees GC) is so well manicured- that there is no comparison- however, I do Ironwood GC is a "must-play" this summer! Enjoy!

Who's been golfing already this year? Let us know where you've played and how the course was.

Be sure to visit the Hoosier Caddy web site and leave course feedback there too! Your comments will help others find that next perfect round of golf.

Thanks
