Making people and ideas findable

Over on LifeHacker.com, they've pointed out an AMAZING opportunity that's only good now through Halloween.

Restaurant.com always offers gift certificates at a great rate (like a $25 gift certificate for $10), and they have a bunch of Indy restaurants in their stable. Restaurants like L'explorateur, Adobo Grill, Agio, The Melting Pot, Cafe Nora, Fionn MacCool's, and Squealers on 86th.

So, great deals at great restaurants, right? BUT!

Between now and 10/31, with the discount code TREATS, they're offering an ADDITIONAL 80% off. So, you can get a $25 gift certificate for $2.

THAT IS TWO DOLLARS FOR A TWENTY-FIVE-DOLLAR GIFT CERTIFICATE!

There are some limitations -- minimum food purchases, etc., but this is awesome! I'll probably blog this just to make sure everybody on SI is aware...

Holy smokes, that's a great deal! This would be a PERFECT opportunity to stock up on freebies for clients! Thanks a million for the tip.

Might want to check out what others are saying -- apparently some people have either themselves had, or heard about, getting more than they bargained for with these bargain gift certificates. When you end your Restaurant.com transaction, you're given an opportunity to sign up for / opt out of Shopping Essentials (whatever that is), which could be easy to overlook and you may end up with an extra $14.95/month on your credit card...
