Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

It was a VERY windy day, and lots of tents and canvas umbrellas blew over. Fred Motley from Fort Wayne City Untilities finally just gave up and anchored all of FW Utility info with rocks and paperweights. Geoff Paddock gave his talk about bringing passenger rail service back to Fort Wayne amid gusts of wind that threatened to blow away his signs. But, it all fell wonderfully into place.

Waynedale Green Alliance was thrilled to have the first wind turbine displayed in Waynedale ;-) (courtesy of Batteries Express)

Betsy Yakowiak of Little Rivers Wetland jazzed up the crowd!

We are taking the opportunity today to thank all of those who helped us make the 1st Green Festival in Northeast Indiana a success. So much work and effort went into this day and this involvement proved that Fort Wayne is making great strides towards a sustainable green city.

We had an outstanding schedule of events.

Waynedale Green Alliance, LTD in partnership with Southwest Conservation Club brought together over 50 organizations to celebrate the end of Earth Day Week. We also made our event a community affair by donating canned goods brought by attendees to Community Harvest of Northeast Indiana

We would like to thank all of them. Their participation, passion and energy made this day possible.

WMEE: Today's Best Variety of Music was there to welcome our Visitors.
