Any member of this group can get $35 off the registration fee for the Smaller Indiana, Bigger Ideas Conference. Just use the discount code: givingsum when you register here

Giving Sum is a charitable giving vehicle pooling resources raised through memberships, sponsorships, and fundraisers to establish annual grants for recipients selected by the organization and its members. We look to engage our members through volunteering, education, networking, and granting out, as a group, $50,000 into the community each year. Giving Sum is YOU!

Giving Sum is looking for members for its class of 2009! If you are passionate about taking a larger role in helping the community, then Giving Sum is for you! Join us for exciting things in 2009 such as

* Panel discussions with the leaders in the environment, education, economic development, the arts, and health and human services discuss innovative solutions with our members.

* Leadership lunches with Mayor Bart Peterson , Dr. Eugene Tempel of the IU Foundation and the IU School of Philanthropy, and many more. Have discussions with these and other leaders in intimate, laid back settings.

* The Second annual "Ale Yea" microbrew festival. Last year's event raised almost $10,000 and this year is going to be even better!

* Going through over 100 organizations to see which one is innovative enough to be the recipient of $50,000 and our partnership for 2009.

* Enjoying fun, social, and volunteer events with members who share the passion of wanting to make a difference in the community.

* Mingle and network with fellow leaders from the for profit, government, and non profit sectors through membership.

We would really like to talk to you about what Giving Sum is all about.

Thanks

Help

A few things to consider before joining Smaller Indiana:

1. We want to know the real you...Please use your real name (first and last) when you sign up, or we cannot open your account

2. We want to know the real you...Please do NOT use your Smaller Indiana blog for blatant self promotion

3. We want to see your smiling face...Please do not use logos or commercial images for your profile photo

4. Events should be posted in the events calendar, not inside blog posts

5. Please do NOT post commercial video (demo reels), or Corporate Website promotions in your blog

6. You can post pretty much anything you want on your own personal page (self promotion, etc), and you can change the style of your personal profile page to reflect your corporate identification if you so choose.

7. Smaller Indiana is supported by its members, and by corporate sponsors. If you're interested in learning more about sponsorship, please call Pat Coyle at 317 332 7878.
