Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

After you have joined this group, please list your skill set and what type of project work you are looking.

My skills are web development in asp, asp.net(vb.net and C#), and coldfusion. I starting to study up on PHP, because it seems like there are a lot more freelance PHP jobs. I'm looking to find project work for small businesses and non-profit groups.

I am a freelance communicator. Specifically, I write press releases and marketing copy. I also make public presentations and speeches. I am also a freelance journalist with more than a decade of experience writing for various publications.
I am also branching out into voice overs with more than 15 years in radio as an announcer and news anchor.

I also have experience with video scripts and narratives.

I would like to do blog work on behalf of a company as well.

I'm a writer/journalist with 10 years experience on camera, behind the camera and in more than two-dozen national and international publications. I also do some corporate writing (web sites, newsletters, blogs, ghost writing, etc.) but I don't do PR.

I'd love to meet more web designers who actually "get it" (that they need good copy and not just pretty pictures to have an effective web site). I'm also looking for an introduction to anyone at Indianapolis Monthly.

Writing marketing copy, crisis communications, press releases, blogging, marketing campaigns, and speeches.

I've been doing freelance work as a side gig for about 12 years, on top of my day job as, well, marketing, crisis communications, press releases, blogging, marketing campaigns, and even speeches.

Hi,

I'm a freelance graphic and web designer. I'm currently looking to work with small business' and non-profits.

I've been working a j.o.b for large and small compaines in the design field for 6 years now and have finally branced out on my own. I'm also attending school full time to earn my degree in Interactive Media and Web Design. I've decided to go back to school as well because I want to ensure that I can bring the best to each and every client no matter what their budget is.

Theresia - I love your comments about web design is so much more than just looking good. I'm a firm believer in the fact there is so much more to design then just making something look good it has to function in every way as well.

Nice to meet everyone!
Angela

Hello,

I'm a freelance graphic designer. I'm currently looking to work with small business' and individuals who need extra help. I'm working for a small company currently. I want to branch out on my own, but I need somewhere to start. I have been doing most of my design work in the printing industry (catalogs, brochures, flyers, etc). I have worked on a couple web sites and would really like to jump into that industry!

Thanks for having this group,
Kelli

Hey everyone,

I'm a freelance designer/illustrator. I've been known to do print/collateral design, logo/identity design, ad layout, custom web graphics, along with traditional & digital illustration for magazines, newspapers, trade publications, websites and children's activity books, among other things. I also dabble in copywriting a bit.

I've done work for healthcare companies, marketing firms, non-profits, children's publishers....you name it. I don't discriminate.

I also work for a publisher 9-to-5, but would eventually like to go out on my own full-time. It's a little freaky to think about, but I'm getting there.

Check-ch-check-check check a check me out.
Christian

I'll just repeat what I posted in the forum.

Bob Sullivan of Copybob Business Writing Services. www.copybob.com

I have solid on-the-job experience writing catalogs and brochures--mainly from my past employer, Galyan's Sports and Outdoor, a loss many, including myself, are still mourning.

Recently, I've composed a lot of PR-focused long copy for the IndyStar and a few new websites. I'm also the news editor for the Morgan County Business Leader. I'm looking to transition into more newsletter work and want to get back into catalog and brochure writing. And I'm pretty good breaking down technology and medical terminology for an everyday audience. I'm an excellent partner for graphic artists who have clients struggling with their content. Thanks for reading.

Bob

I'm a full-time freelance photojournalist. At least, that's how I bill myself the vast majority of time. I do, however, have an extensive background in publication design and general graphic design as well having been an art director for a few local publications over the past years as well as a photo and graphics editor for a central Indiana newspaper.

If anyone ever needs the services of an established photographer, don't hesitate to call or write me. My work can be found on my website — www.mcschooler.com.

I'm a storyteller specializing in using video to tell your stories.

I own my own editing system and work with a core group of independents to help clients with their media needs.

I'd love to meet designers, web developers, art directors and anyone who has a need to tell stories using video.
