Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

Some of you may have recently heard that my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has had surgery, and is getting ready to undergo radiation. It was caught early, thank God!

I've always been a huge fan of the Susan G Komen Foundation, and considering the circumstances, I am a greater fan.

I have just registered for the Race for the Cure-the annual 5k fundraiser to raise money to continue to find the cure for breast cancer. The goal that I have set to raise is $5,000. I call it the $5 for the 5k. :)

Here's the link to help me reach that goal: http://tinyurl.com/awodcn I'd love to have your support! If you can't donate, please feel free to share the link and help me to hit my goal!

OR!!! If you would like, feel free to use that same link to join my team! I'm am walking with Indy company, Catalyst CMI. If you do join the Catalyst team, you'll get a cool pink hard hat as well!

Hope to see you April 18!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. Good Luck! I lost my mother in law and my best friend to cancer so I am all for them finding a cure for cancer. I'll donate to your cause. Sorry I can't join your walking..am already training for Cincy marathon and have more out of state trips in April.

Thank you so much Faith! It's almost been a year since I've seen you. Will you be at the 5k Smaller Indiana party next Thursday at the Rathskellar?

You may want to check your link because when I click on the tinyurl link, it led me to Les Balcons Du Savoy in Chamonix Mont Blanc with hotel info and price! Imagine my shock and surprise...

Let me know what you find out!
Thanks
Faith

Oh wow! I left off the "n" at the end of the URL. I guess it helps when you have the entire thing, huh? Thanks for bringing that to my attention!

Faith, THANK YOU VERY much for your donation! I'm only $4,955 away from my goal! :)

I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom. I know it's a difficult battle, but it is a battle that can be won.

THANK YOU, John!!!! You were my first donor! I am so confident that they are close to finding the cure. I felt like it was just a routine Dr. appointment, the way her procedures were handled. We're almost there!!

Nicki,
Good luck with this. One of my college friends lost his mother to this and today they supply branded pink ribbon merchandise to all of the affiliates across the country from right here in Indianapolis, including being present at many races. www.pinkribbonclassics.com
They are neat people.
I'll get on the bandwagon.

Thanks for sharing that site, Jeff! I noticed this link on the Komen Indy site, and it's nice to know that they are a friend of a fellow Smoosier!
