Making people and ideas findable

Had to get something at the drive-thru last night after the #indytweetup. I was going to get the all-time best bargain-double cheeseburger but saw New 1/3 Pound Angus Beef Burger. For $3.99, it was more than a dollar higher than the 1/4 pounder with cheese. But hey, people look for my comments on burgers so here you go:
For a quick burger the Double Cheeseburger is great on the wallet and great to get the edge off the burger urge until you can get "the real thing." Have you noticed that the Double Cheeseburger went up in price to $1.19 and isn't on the Value Menu. It's been replaced by the McDouble at about a $1. The McDouble has only one piece of cheese compared to the Double Cheeseburger's two. IMO-it's worth the extra $.19.
The 1/3 Pound Angus Beef Burger comes three ways-Deluxe, Bacon, and something else that didn't attract my attention. I ordered the Bacon version. As is most common, they had the burger up and ready by the time I'd paid for it. The burger came with pickles, raw red onion rings, mustard and ketchup. It probably had lettuce but I was too hungry to notice. I liked the bacon, not overdone with just a touch of chewiness to it. The patty itself was nondescript at best. Everything you'd expect from McDonald's, not terrible, not great, just there. Except for the bacon, this burger really doesn't have any distinguishing characteristics, but hey, it's McDonald's. It's not worth the extra $1, cholesterol, and fat over a Quarter Pounder with Cheese. Regarding the Angus part, they must have bought hereford's at Angus' farm because there was nothing to indicate this was better meat than normal.
All in all, not great, not terrible, it's McDonald's. Try it once and see if you agree with me. Let me know.

I tried it last night, I had the mushroom swiss. It had mayo. For being McDonalds it wasn't bad. I was suprised. It is a pre cooked burger...that is microwaved. Hey also wanted to let you know on theindychannel.com the alist has started once again. We have not been nominated for best burger but we have been nominated under great meals and traditional american.... Would appreciate the vote if you would.

I checked out the McDouble just to see if it suffered by having one less slice of cheese. IT DIDN'T, save your 20 cents.
