Dropped by your insurer? Denied treatment or coverage? Buried in debt from medical bills?
If so, I would like to talk with you. I'm a journalist / blogger for a reputable, national news Web site, looking for volunteer interview subjects to participate in a series of video shorts about health care horror stories in the heartland.
In a perfect world, set-up time for the interviews would take roughly an hour. Interviews will last between a half-hour and an hour.
If you're in or very near the Indianapolis Metropolitan Area, I can come to you wherever you live to shoot the interview. Or, if you prefer, we can shoot in one of our own studio locations – whichever is more convenient.

This is a volunteer request: as it is with any reputable publication, there will be no pay. I’m calling only upon people who have something to offer to the current health care debate, and who want their stories heard because they have something to share, and because they know it is important.

My name is Austin Considine. Feel free to check out my page and a brief summary of my journalistic background, which includes work for newspapers like The New York Times, Chicago Sun-Times and San Francisco Chronicle, at True/Slant.com: www.trueslant.com/austinconsidine . You can also Google my name for more links to my work from over the years.

Contact me at austinconsidine@gmail.com for more details. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Tim - we're working on it. Indy's hoppin' that weekend, so we're fighting for good restaurant/event space. We'll have an announcement soon.

I'll be in Indy from Wednesday evening through Saturday. Are there any after-hours events related to Blog Indiana 2009 that are highly recommended?

I love the bloggers' revival idea! Note to self: invest in a really big tent.
Tim Piazza Comment by Tim Piazza on July 21, 2009 at 10:18pm
Duke, if we want to be precisely halfway between E'ville and Indy, we'll have to set up at the Crane Naval Weapons Support Center. I wonder what they would think about us showing up with a big tent and talking about how they should use social media to broaden their exposure? LOL

Yes, I will be at Blog Indiana 2009 and I am looking forward to it. I'll be participating in the Social Media Summit on Saturday but I plan on soaking up information and learning as much as I can on Thursday and Friday. I think it's great that we don't have to fly to NYC or SF to attend a conference of professional caliber.

They're all just watching us now to see what we will do next.
Duke Snyder Comment by Duke Snyder on July 21, 2009 at 10:01pm
Don't let anyone else in SI know there's a 3some awake in BlogIndiana lol.
Tim Piazza Comment by Tim Piazza on July 21, 2009 at 9:03pm
Welcome, Tricia, to our conversation. Why, we're nearly bona fide now!
Tricia Meyer Comment by Tricia Meyer on July 21, 2009 at 8:52pm
I'm here! I started a discussion but so far no replies.
Duke Snyder Comment by Duke Snyder on July 21, 2009 at 8:48pm
Yes, Tim, at least we know there is two of us lol. As Christians love to say..."When there are but two you can still hold a service!"
So, do we erect a large tent midway between Evansville and Indianapolis and stage a "Blogger's Revival" for a week or hope to spread the word at the upcoming meeting at which you are a speaker next month here in Indy?
